Dade County Historical Society exists to find, examine and publish information about the events that have occurred in Dade County Georgia.
Dade County is located in the Northwest corner of Georgia and is border by Tennessee on the North and Alabama on the West.
Dade County has Lookout Mountain that runs from the North to the South of the county. Lookout Mountain has many beautiful locations some very famous and others not as well known. Nearby is Rock City and Ruby Falls that are well know attractions. Cloudland Canyon State Park is another beautiful attraction that is known to many.
Civil War and Cherokee history is rich in Dade County and this site will feature many of the major events from the Civil War and of Cherokee history and culture.
